IBA Biologics, IBA's 100 % daughter since April 2007, was founded in 1999 as a joint venture with the GBF in Braunschweig, a leading state funded institute for biotechnology in Germany. Having direct access to cGMP facilities with proven track record for the production of therapeutic proteins the company offers a custom service for non-cGMP and cGMP productions of proteins and nucleic acids in the milligram as well as in the gram range. The facilities at its disposal include laboratories and pilot scale equipment for vector production, cell culture, microbial fermentation and downstream processing.
To enter clinical studies and the pharmaceutical market the development of cGMP conform production processes including the manufacture of GMP material is offered.
